Silver and marcasite Breast Star with central medallion carrying the conjoined profiles in gold of Their Majesties King George V and Queen Mary as founders of the Order. The central enamel band bears the motto of the Order, 'For God and the Empire'. The Breast Star is worn on the left shoulder. A Dame Commander is the 2nd Class of the Order. Given in presentation case ROH/VAL/BEQ/16 with the Badge of a Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire ROH/VAL/BEQ/14; related to the dress miniature of the Badge ROH/VAL/BEQ/15, certificate ROH/VAL/BEQ/12, and letter ROH/VPP/1/03. |
