Description: Watercolour and ink sketch for a Priestess who is depicted wearing a long black wig with a white skullcap decorated with blue beads, gold earrings, a gold necklace, gold upper and lower armlets, a white semi-sheer cape decorated with blue, red, and green, a white pleated robe secured with a blue and gold decoratively patterned sash under the bust, and a blue and gold decoratively patterned sarong tied around the hips. She carries flowers in both hands. The note '24' on the front of the design denotes the number of costumes to be made from this design. An ink stamp on the back of the design reads: The property of The Grand Opera Syndicate, Covent Garden Theatre'.
