Description: Watercolour and ink sketch for a member of the Female Populace who is depicted wearing a black wig with a white headband, a red and blue bead necklace, a white shawl secured with a bronze brooch, a white pleated robe, and a pale lilac and green patterned sarong, and brown sandals. She carries a flower. The note '4' on the front of the design denotes the number of costumes to be made from this design. A handwritten note on the front of the design reads: '(unclear) necklace, Covent Garden'. Wearer names noted on the front of the design are: Fischner, Hardway, Liescubuik (unclear), Warwick.
