Tutu for the character of a Swan in Acts I and III of The Royal Ballet production of 'Swan Lake' (1963)

Description: Tutu with a white silk boned bodice. White feathers are glued onto the top V of the bodice and splay over the neckline from a single silver faux jewel at the centre. The skirt is layers of white net with pointed edges. The top layer is decorated with appliqu├ęd net and silver braid in a pattern of feather shapes, with white feathers glued on the top. There are elastic shoulder straps and a metal hoop in the skirt.

Condition: Fair. Discolouration of glue on the feathers, which has come off on the centre front bodice. The metal hoop is rusting or discoloured.
